Great Geographers…

After finding out that the River Aire goes through Leeds, we enjoyed working with our learning buddy to draw a map of the river. We added some important topic words:

Source (where the river starts)

Malham (the place where the river Aire starts)

Leeds

Mouth (where the river Aire joins the river Ouse)

After looking at a diagram of the river, we noticed that it is very narrow at the source and then becomes a lot wider. We also spotted that it doesn’t travel in a straight line and we thought the shape is a bit like a snake.
